Benefits of Merino Wool
Merino wool may have a hefty price tag compared to what you are used to, but I assure you this is not the scratchy cheap item that you buy in the store. You truly get what you pay for in terms of material and I am here to share with you the benefits of the wool that I use that you can look forward to in your item!
REGULATES BODY TEMPERATURE
It may sound crazy, but it naturally keeps your body a stable temperature just like it would on a sheep! What this means is that it is insulating you when it is cold, and transporting sweat away when it is warm. Merino wool is more breathable than its man-made acrylic counterparts and keeping in crucial heat for the ideal balancing act.
PROTECTS AGAINST ODORS
Your merino wool item should be good to go for the first 100 wears without smelling! Merino wool absorbs odors caused by bacteria and keeps it from building up. Unless it gets dirty, you rarely will need to clean it.
NON-IRRITABLE AND NON-ITCHY
A lot of people associate wool with itchiness. Merino wool is the softest wool you can buy and is extremely soft to the skin. Wool sensitivity and wool allergies are two separate things, and if you have wool sensitivity this wool as a general wool lacks the structure and fiber of other wools that would cause that irritation.
BIODEGRADABLE AND ETHICALLY SOURCED
Merino wool degrades after a year on the ground. The wools that I buy are ethically sourced, what that means is that no harm is done to the animals when shearing and is humanely removed from the sheep. Since sheep have natural protection from the sun it even contains natural UPF properties. No microplastics in this plush perfection.
If that doesn't convince you it's better than what you get in the store come in and feel it for yourself at one of my upcoming events!
